Housing Watch (Dec.)

November was a weak month all round for housing, with prices falling at a faster pace and starts plunging. Lenders are already cutting mortgage rates in response to the recent drop in bond yields, which could bring some relief next year, but we remain concerned about the downside risks to construction.
