After the boom...

The slowdown in Latin America over the past year is more likely to be the start of a new phase of weaker growth than a temporary blip. We expect regional GDP growth to remain stuck at 2-3% for the next decade and for interest rates to remain low for a long time. Mexico is the only economy in the region that we expect to see an improvement in performance relative to the past five years.
