Despite legal risks, we still expect Italian bond yields to fall

Political and legal uncertainty means that investors may continue to discount a small, but non-negligible, probability of a break-up of the euro-zone. Nonetheless, we remain of the view that the ECB will continue to contain the government bond yields of Italy and other euro-zone periphery countries, at least for the next couple of years.
