UK Halifax House Prices (Feb. 2026)

The 0.3% m/m rise in the Halifax measure of house prices in February provides further evidence that the recent improvement in the housing market has continued. We think housing will pick-up further this year. But if the conflict in the Middle East isn’t resolved swiftly, fewer interest rate cuts and/or softer buyer sentiment could temper that strengthening.
