President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” that would significantly restrict access to tax credits provided under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) is one step closer to becoming reality, which adds to the risks facing the green transition in the US. As a result, solar energy equities sold off and the room for upside in these stocks appears to be limited. Meanwhile, the EU and UK have agreed to link their carbon markets which has resulted in the carbon price wedge narrowing in recent weeks.
