Canada Weekly: Elevated core inflation a concern, for now

While elevated core inflation rules out a Bank of Canada rate cut this month, industrial product price inflationand the survey data suggest that threat will soon subside. Together with weak GDP in April and May, we continue to expect two more cuts from the BoC this year.
