Prime Minister Mark Carney had less fortune in the US than the Blue Jays this week, returning with little in the way of relief on sector-specific tariffs or a commitment to the future of CUSMA. The fact that lead negotiator Dominic LeBlanc has stuck behind in Washington is a positive sign, though we doubt much will be gained given the Trump administration is holding all of the cards.
