Even though the ECB has raised interest rates again and the Fed appears close to a hike, we are not expecting the Bank of England to raise interest rates at its meeting on Thursday 17th September, or at all. The Bank may also announce a further slowdown in Quantitative Tightening (QT), although we think there may be more QT left to do than some realise.
We’ll be discussing the differences in the outlook for BoE, Fed and ECB policy in a 20-minute online briefing at 3pm on Thursday 17th September. (Register here.)
