Is a recovery in exports finally underway?

One feature that the recovery has been lacking for a long time is a pick-up in exports. But last week’s GDP figures offered some encouragement that the much-anticipated rebalancing of the economy is finally getting underway. And there are a number of reasons to be cautiously optimistic about the prospects for exports.
