Bond yields rise on prospect of tighter global monetary policy

Bond yields across the Nordic and Swiss economies increased in June, in line with global market moves following major central bank speeches that prompted investors to bring forward their expectations for monetary policy normalisation. Meanwhile, equity prices fell in most Nordic and Swiss markets, partly reflecting the negative effects of stronger currencies on firms’ foreign earnings.
