Three points on the EM tightening cycle

After a series of aggressive interest rate hikes, tightening cycles in parts of Emerging Europe and Latin America may now be nearing an end. But inflation concerns mean that policy rates will remain above their neutral level there for some time. In contrast, low inflation will allow central banks across much of Asia to pursue a much more gradual path towards policy normalisation.
