Poland Activity Data (Sep.)

September’s industrial production and retail sales figures out of Poland showed that activity continued to recover last month. Even so, it may be touch-and-go as to whether Poland’s economy was already in a technical recession in Q3. Either way, we think the economy will suffer further setbacks over the coming quarters as the drag from high inflation, high interest rates and faltering external demand take their toll.
