Canada Housing Watch (Jul. 2025)

The third consecutive rise in home sales in June lends some support to our view that house prices will soon stabilise, even if mortgage rates do not decline by quite as much as we expect. Elsewhere, developers continue to shrug off the various headwinds to the sector, with the near three-year high for housing starts in June seemingly making a mockery of our forecast for them to soon fall sharply.
