Has property finally turned the corner?

A recovery in China’s property market appears to be giving a lift to economic growth. This should continue for a few quarters. But the turnaround does not signal that the drawn-out correction in China’s property market has run its course. We expect the policy-supported property rebound to peter out by early next year and for construction activity once again to slow. In this month’s China Watch we take a close look at property.
