The strong showing for President Milei’s La Libertad Avanza (LLA) party is not only an endorsement of his reform agenda but will also substantially increase the LLA’s representation in congress, which will help him to advance his pro-market reform agenda. This will sustain external financial support and, while a significant fall in the peso is still needed, this is likely to happen in an orderly way.
