Indonesia Interest Rate Announcement (Nov. 2025)

Bank Indonesia left its benchmark interest rate on hold at 4.75% today for a second consecutive meeting but the accompanying communications remained dovish and we still think there’s scope for further easing. Perhaps the biggest development today, however, was that the finance minister is now invited to BI Board meetings, which may raise fresh concerns about the central bank’s independence.
