Nigeria GDP (Q4 2023)

Nigeria’s GDP growth rebounded to 3.5% y/y in Q4 but we doubt that this strength will last. Tighter monetary policy, coming alongside the pernicious effects of further weakness in the naira and ongoing struggles in the oil sector, means that growth is likely to come in a lot weaker than most expect in 2024.
