Venezuela elections: turning point or tipping point?

Venezuela’s opposition looks set to triumph in legislative elections on Sunday but, unlike last month’s election upset in Argentina, this won’t trigger a shift towards more orthodox policymaking. If anything, we expect the country’s economic, political and social crisis to intensify.
