Thailand’s political crisis adds to economic concerns

Thailand's Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra dissolved parliament today and called for elections "as soon as possible". This step is unlikely to resolve political tensions, given that the opposition has little hope of defeating the government in an election. While we do not think the political crisis will turn into an economic one, the outlook is becoming increasingly poor and uncertain.
