Consumer Prices (Jun.)

Despite the further rise in inflation to a multi-decade high, the June data showed some encouraging signs, with the monthly price gains slowing across almost every category. Inflation will begin to fall in the coming months but, with the Bank of Canada intent on preventing further rises in inflation expectations, this will not stop it from raising interest rates at the September and October policy meetings.
