Kiran Raichura
Chief Commercial Real Estate Economist
Kiran heads up Capital Economics’ commercial real estate team, having spent 20 years analysing and forecasting global real estate markets, including 11 years forecasting European and US markets at Capital Economics. Kiran started his career at Colliers International in London, leading its UK Commercial Property forecasts. He then spent four years at AXA Real Assets, where he was the team’s economic expert, and led the firm’s Nordic and Central European research & strategy coverage. Kiran holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from The University of Warwick and a Masters in Real Estate Investment & Finance from Henley Business School & Reading University. He is an IPF member and former chair of the Society of Property Researchers.

Matthew Pointon
Senior Commercial Real Estate Economist
Matthew Pointon is a Senior Economist who leads our UK Commercial Property service, having previously been responsible for our US and UK housing research. Prior to Capital Economics, Matthew worked as an economist at HM Treasury, where among other roles he covered the macroeconomics of the housing and household sector. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Bath, and an MSc in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Bristol.

Amy Wood
Senior Commercial Real Estate Economist
Amy leads our European Commercial Property Service. She joined Capital Economics in 2018 and spend her first two years with the firm working on our UK Commercial Property Service. Previously, she worked as a senior economic analyst at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. She also spent one year on a work secondment at the Bank for International Settlements in Switzerland. Amy holds an Honour’s degree in Economics from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.

James McMorrow
Senior Commercial Real Estate Economist
James McMorrow joined Capital Economics as an Economist in June 2022 and currently works on our Europe Commercial Property service. Prior to joining Capital Economics, he worked as an Assistant Economist at the Department for Transport in its Regions and Cities and Rail Analysis divisions. James holds a BSc in Economics and Accounting from Queen’s University Belfast and an MSc in Economics from Trinity College Dublin.
