Halifax House Prices (Jan. 2024)

The large 1.3% m/m gain in Halifax’s measure of house prices in January was the largest since June 2022, and suggests we are already almost halfway towards our forecast that house prices will rise by 3% this year. The consensus forecast is that house prices will record a small fall this year.
