Mexico Bi-Weekly CPI (Feb.)

Mexico’s headline inflation rate edged down to 7.8% y/y in the first half of February but the further pick-up in services inflation will continue to concern policymakers at Banxico. We had thought that a 25bp hike in the policy rate at next month’s Board meeting would be the last in the cycle but there is a growing chance that policymakers feel the need to deliver a bit more tightening than that.
