Euro-zone exports fell for a second successive month in May but there was evidence of continued front- running in sectors that have not yet been hit by tariffs. And even in sectors which have been hit by tariffs, exports were not much lower in May than last year, suggesting there is unlikely to be a significant collapse in EZ exports this year despite Trump’s tariffs.
