UK government scores a climate own goal

While the Women’s World Cup ultimately ended in disappointment for English supporters, it’s somewhat fitting that climate policy is increasingly being made into a political football. The failure in the UK and elsewhere to address climate policy’s inherent time-consistency problem is likely to push the green transition into extra time.
