Lenders are starting to adapt to new mortgage regulations, leading to a rise in both total lending and the proportion of higher loan-to-income ratio loans. But this didn’t distract banks’ attention from the buy-to-let sector. Unregulated lending grew by 9.2% in Q2, to a post-crisis high.
