Have Portuguese property yields already risen enough?

In our view, over 2012-13, Portugal will endure the second deepest recession in the euro-zone. Even so, the gap between the Portuguese property/bond yield spread and its long-term average is by no means unusually high. Given that, and the weak rental outlook for 2012-13, Portuguese property yields are much more likely to continue to rise than to stabilise or fall.
