The 0.7% m/m decline in Brazilian industrial production in September suggests that the sector made a negative contribution to GDP growth over Q3 as a whole. With other sectors faring surprisingly well, Brazil’s economy probably still recorded robust growth. But headwinds facing the economy are mounting and we expect growth to slow over the coming quarters.
