We don’t foresee further common-currency outperformance of MSCI’s UK Index vis-à-vis its USA Index, which has largely been a function of their compositions and the strength of cable since Donald Trump’s return to the White House. This is because we suspect that developments in certain sectors will become less favourable for the UK index, and that some of sterling’s strength against the dollar will unwind.
