COP-flation; declining deforestation; UK strike prices

Whatever does or does not get agreed at COP28 in Dubai over the coming weeks, one way in which the event will set records is the staggering number of people in attendance. Meanwhile, the decline in deforestation in the Amazon since the start of President Lula's latest term in office suggests that the government’s efforts to strengthen environmental agencies and enhance law enforcement is paying off.
