Philippines Monetary Policy Announcement (June)

The central bank in the Philippines (BSP) today cut its main policy rate by a further 25bps (to 5.25%), and the dovish tone from the central bank’s statement and press conference suggests further easing is likely. We are expecting another 50bps of cuts by year-end.
