Soft landing in investment market to drive double-digit total returns

2004 was a bumper year for property, with year-end total returns likely to come in at just under 20% y/y on the IPD Index. (See Table 1.) The investment market boom shows little sign of abating and capital value growth is running in double digits, offsetting the lacklustre recovery in the office and industrial occupier markets.
