The reshaping of the global tourism market

Somewhat paradoxically, climate-driven shifts in tourist patterns could help to smooth the seasonal peaks seen in summer destinations, and some countries – particularly in northern Europe – will become more attractive places to visit. However, there is a cruel irony in that some of the countries that are most reliant on tourism are also some of the most exposed to potential climate-related shifts in tourist flows.
