Asia Chart Pack (December 2025)

Our Asia Chart Pack has been updated with the latest data and our analysis of recent developments.

We expect most countries in Asia to record solid economic growth in 2026. Robust demand for AI-related products will continue to support exports and help to offset the effects of US tariffs. The outlook for domestic demand is more mixed: consumer spending is expected to expand steadily, underpinned by low inflation and recent policy rate cuts, although fiscal consolidation will weigh on growth in many economies. We expect further rate cuts in Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia, but in most countries easing cycles are nearing their end. We anticipate only one additional cut in India and expect policy rates to remain on hold in Taiwan, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
