The Capital Economics China Activity Proxy (CAP) suggests that growth accelerated for a sixth straight month in October to the fastest pace in nearly three years. Our growth estimate is now only a little weaker than that shown by the official GDP data. But we believe this rate will prove unsustainable. Growth will slow next year.
