Capital Economics named most accurate overall economic forecaster

LONDON (6 June) - Capital Economics has been named the most accurate overall economic forecaster in FocusEconomics’ annual Forecast Accuracy Awards, winning 16 awards for overall forecasting accuracy, more than any other institution, as well as achieving a total of 106 top three rankings - 48 first place.

These latest awards for country-level forecasting follow FocusEconomics’ commodities awards, in which Capital Economics earned the highest number of awards and first-place rankings.

The FocusEconomics Analyst Forecast Awards are annual awards that recognise the most accurate economic forecasters across a range of macroeconomic indicators and commodity prices. They highlight excellence in forecasting key economic metrics for over 100 countries and more than 20 commodities.
