BoT decision on a knife edge

Inflation in Thailand was still negative last month, according to data released earlier today. With recent activity subdued, the central bank will have to change tack and start loosening policy soon. The key immediate constraint may be a desire not to be seen to be doing the bidding of a government that has been calling for rate cuts.
