S&P Global/CIPS Flash PMIs (Mar.)

The surprisingly small fall in the composite activity PMI in March suggests that the war in Ukraine didn’t take that much steam out of the economy at the end of the first quarter. That said, the survey brought more signs of increasing price pressures, which will only intensify the squeeze on households’ real incomes and paints a bleak picture of the activity outlook over the coming months.
