New Home Sales (Oct.)

Even after a significant upward revision to September’s estimate, the 8.9% m/m drop in new home sales in October was enough to send sales to a 2½-year low. But a drop in mortgage interest rates over the past couple of weeks, and a corresponding jump in mortgage applications for home purchase, both suggest new home sales will soon flatten out.
