Manufacturing woes spreading to Switzerland

The sharp drop in the manufacturing PMI in Switzerland in March provides the clearest sign yet that the woes in euro-zone industry have spread over the border. Meanwhile, the manufacturing and services PMIs from Sweden for March suggest that GDP growth there flatlined in Q1, while the Norwegian series is consistent with the economy having made a comparatively strong start to the year.
