Argentina’s economic recovery to continue

The stronger-than-expected 1.1% q/q rise in Argentine GDP in Q1 was driven by a pick-up in domestic demand, which is likely to have been the key beneficiary of looser fiscal policy ahead of October’s legislative elections. We expect the economy to continue to recover over the coming quarters.
