Mexico Bi-Weekly CPI (Apr.)

The larger-than-expected rise in Mexican headline inflation in the first half of this month, to 4.4% y/y, coming alongside a jump in core inflation, will temper talk of monetary easing in the coming months. But we still think that inflation will fall in the second half of the year, paving the way for interest rate cuts.
