Bank won’t ease policy anytime soon

A looming slowdown in GDP growth and the prospect of rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve has prompted speculation that the BoJ will have to ease policy by the end of this year. However, the Bank remains concerned about the impact of low interest rates on financial stability and we think it will keep policy settings unchanged for the foreseeable future.
