Which EM currencies are in the firing line in 2019?

We expect EM currencies to weaken against the US dollar in 2019, with the South African rand and Colombian peso likely to fall by more than most. The Argentine peso and Turkish lira will probably be among the worst performers too, even though collapses on the scale of 2018 should not be on the cards. In contrast, we expect many EM Asian and Central European currencies to depreciate only slightly.
