Predictions for the euro-zone in 2020

We think the euro-zone will continue to struggle in the first half of 2020 as Germany and Italy remain close to recession and inflation stays well below target, prompting the ECB to loosen policy further. Things should improve a bit in the second half of the year, but any rebound will be weaker than most expect.
