Euro-zone slowdown worries Czech National Bank

The Czech National Bank’s post-meeting communications made clear that concerns about the external environment resulted in interest rates being left on hold – rather than hiked – today. Given the Bank Board’s focus on wages and inflation, additional tightening still seems more likely than not. But if external headwinds intensify, the Bank would probably leave interest rates on hold throughout 2019.
