Central & Eastern Europe GDP (Q3 2020)

The Q3 GDP data for Central and Eastern Europe generally beat expectations and Poland’s economy recovered much faster than elsewhere in the region. But the recent tightening of virus restrictions means that some of the factors boosting growth in Q3 are likely to have reversed in Q4, which looks set to cause a contraction in regional GDP to the tune of 2-3% q/q.
