Bank of Korea set for extended hold

The Bank of Korea (BoK) left its main policy rate on hold at 0.50% in a unanimous decision, and with the economy set to rebound further in spite of a growing third wave of the coronavirus, further easing seems unlikely in the months ahead. Instead, rates are set to remain on hold for at least the next year.
