PBOC cuts feed through to lower bank rates

The latest Loan Prime Rate (LPR) reductions confirm that banks are lowering lending rates on new loans in response to the recent cuts to the PBOC’s lending facilities. And policymakers’ willingness to embrace lower rates on long-term loans hints at a possible softening of the regulatory stance toward property.
