Indian equities likely to fare better than bonds

Today’s surprise decision by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to leave interest rates on hold led to a jump in bond yields there but had limited impact on the Indian equity market. While we expect the RBI to cut rates early next year, we think that equities will fare better than bonds in India.
